Key Rental Terms
Important information for renters
Minimum Rental Period
1 month minimum. After the first month, rentals continue month-to-month with no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime with 14 days written notice.
Payment Terms
- First payment: First month's rent + security deposit due at booking
- Monthly payments: Due on the same date each month
- Payment methods: E-transfer, credit card, or cheque
- Late fees: $25 fee for payments more than 7 days late
Cancellation Policy
14 days notice required to end your rental. We'll schedule pickup at a mutually convenient time.

Insurance & Liability
Contents insurance is your responsibility. We recommend ensuring your stored items are covered under your homeowner's/business insurance policy. The container itself is covered by C-Can Sam for structural issues, but not for theft or damage to your contents.
Site Requirements
- Ground: Reasonably level surface (gravel, concrete, or compacted earth)
- Access: Minimum 12ft wide access for delivery truck
- Clearance: No overhead obstructions (power lines, trees) within delivery path
- Space: Allow 5ft clearance around container for door access

Prohibited Items
Hazardous materials, explosives, flammable liquids, illegal substances, perishable food, and live animals are strictly prohibited. Violation may result in immediate termination of rental and forfeiture of deposit.

Common questions about container rentals
What is included in the monthly rental rate?
The monthly rental rate includes the container itself (wind & watertight guaranteed), delivery to your location within 50km of Saskatoon, and pickup when your rental ends. You provide your own padlock. Delivery beyond 50km incurs an additional fee based on distance.
What is the security deposit for?
The security deposit is fully refundable when the container is returned in the same condition it was delivered. It covers any potential damage beyond normal wear and tear. Deposits are returned within 7-14 business days after container inspection.
Is there a minimum rental period?
There is a 1-month minimum rental period. After that, you can keep the container month-to-month for as long as you need with no long-term contract. Cancel anytime with 14 days notice.
What if I need to keep the container longer than expected?
No problem! Our month-to-month terms mean you can extend your rental at any time. Just let us know and continue paying the monthly rate. There's no paperwork or new contracts needed.
Can I purchase my rental container?
Yes! We offer a rent-to-own option. A portion of your rental payments can be applied toward the purchase price. Contact us for details on converting your rental to a purchase.
What happens if the container is damaged during my rental?
Normal wear and tear is expected and won't affect your deposit. For significant damage, you'll be responsible for repair costs deducted from your deposit. We recommend insurance for valuable contents and liability protection.
Can I modify the rental container?
Minor modifications like adding shelving are generally okay. However, any permanent modifications (cutting holes, painting, welding) must be approved in advance and may result in additional charges. Contact us first.
How do I return the container when I'm done?
Simply contact us with 14 days notice. We'll schedule a pickup at your convenience. Empty the container, remove your padlock, and we'll handle the rest. Your deposit is returned after inspection.
